We Learn His Personal Nature

God has a personal nature.  We are able to call God the most personal name, Father.  Through His names, we see that God wants to have a personal relationship with us.

We also know that El Roi – God who sees.  El Roi is with us and sees us in our happy days and in our saddest moments.

We Learn a Deeper Understanding of His Eternal Attributes and Character

We can trust the nature of God never changes.  Names like El Olam tell us of God’s infinite nature.

The name  God of Heaven tells us of an eternal God who lives in an eternal city, as believers we will one day get to spend eternity with the God of Heaven too.

One of my favorite names, Ancient of Days, means God existed before the days were created.

We Learn We Can Have Confidence in His Power

Many of God’s names refer to His power – Elohim (all-powerful Creator), El Shaddai (Almighty God) and Adonai (supreme master over authorities).

God’s names remind us of His power and authority over creation and time.

I only mentioned a few of the God’s names studied in Experiencing God Through His Names.  I enjoyed reading this book, learning the meaning of these names and developing a deeper understanding of God.
