Save Money without Saving Coupons Every Week
Are you a couponer? I am an occasional couponer. I confess I mostly save high dollar coupons and store coupons that save higher dollars or percentage off a purchase. With or without coupons, I love to save money and feel like I got a deal every time I shop (I really hate paying full price).
Here are 3 tips that help you save money if you are shopping and have no coupons with you.
- First, always check a coupon app like Retail Me Not for available offers.
- Second, do a quick web search for coupons on your phone. Sometimes, you will find coupons on the store or restaurant’s website.
- Third, just ask the sales associate if any coupons are available. This request works well in department stores like Macy’s and Kohl’s that frequently have printed coupons in flyers and newspapers. This past Saturday, I saved an additional $20 just by asking the sales associate if any coupons were available for my purchase. It never hurts to ask.
- Bonus tip: these ideas work in restaurants too.
Try to follow these 3 steps every time you shop or eat at a restaurant. If you make these steps a habit, you won’t miss out on additional savings and you will be surprised how easy it can be to save money. No excuses, don’t pay full retail prices anymore.
