Book Review: If My Husband Would Change, I’d Be Happy (& Other Myths Wives Believe)
It’s So Easy to Believe These Lies
You’ve heard this comment or maybe you have even said it, “If my husband would just change (you fill-in your wish), I would be happy and things would be better.” But we know the truth is, it’s easier to believe these lies than accept responsibility for our own happiness.
In If My Husband Would Change, I’d Be Happy, Ronda Stoppe dismantles many of the myths and lies that wives so easily believe about marriage. She challenges us to change our thinking and make a real change in ourselves and our marriages.

First, let’s be clear, if you are looking for a book that will tell you how to change your husband, this book is not for you. This book is about changing you. Here are 3 things I learned from reading If My Husband Would Change, I’d Be Happy.
It’s Not About Your Husband
If you are unhappy with how your husband behaves or how he treats you, it’s not about him. You have to start with yourself and making yourself the right wife. We don’t have to be perfect, but we do have to work on being more Christ-like. The changes that need to be made are all about you.
Start First by Building and Growing Your Relationship with God
A strong daily walk with God is the first step to building and growing a wonderful relationship with your husband. [bctt tweet=”A right relationship with God is needed for a happy relationship with your husband.” username=”smartmomideas”]
Throughout this book, you will be asked to evaluate and re-evaulate your relationship with God. As you grow and build your relationship with God, you will see amazing things happen in yourself and your husband.
It’s Easy to Believe Lies and Myths about Marriage
We live in a world of glamour and that does not place a high value on marriage. It’s easy to start looking around and believe the lies and myths you see. In If My Husband Would Change, I’d Be Happy, you will see that the lies are not what they seem and many times women and their children pay a high price for these mistakes.
If My Husband Would Change, I’d Be Happy will give all wives a reason to pause and look at how they are handling their relationship with their husband and how it could be better. This book is highly recommended for all wives to stop and recognize the wonderful blessing they have been given in their husband.
