Did you know that you can feel energized all day by adding a healthy breakfast and short period of exercise to your day? Don’t forget including exercise in your day will also help you sleep better at night too.

We are at Day 11 of Make Over Your Mornings with Crystal Paine. Today’s lesson encourages us to include exercise in our day and spend time planning our meals for healthy eating. One thing I love about today’s video is that Crystal doesn’t tell you to exercise 30-60 minutes every day, she just suggests 10-20 minutes to move your body and feel more energy.
Exercise to Energize Your Day
Let’s start with adding exercise to your day. In the today’s video, Crystal shared many ways you can add short periods of exercise to your day. You can also include your children and make exercise a family activity. Teaching our children to move and be active at a young age is important since they have so many distractions that do not involve moving.
Special note on children and movement teaching your children to move and exercise can also improve their focus and attention in school. Exercise for children has many benefits.
Confession time, I have never been a fan of exercising. I just don’t enjoy it at all. But, as I mentioned, I love that Crystal encourages us to do just 10-20 minutes of exercise every day which we can all add to our day. One of my favorite short exercise routines is walking videos with Leslie Sansone. The steps are easy (you don’t have to be coordinated and several videos offer 10-minute sessions that you can do stand alone or 2 or 3 together. Note 1 mile is about a 10-minute exercise routine).
Healthy Eating Habits
Healthy eating will also give you energy and help you feel focused so you can complete your goals and stay on task. If you need some ideas for healthy breakfast ideas, try some of these breakfasts (some you can prepare ahead of time).
In our busy lives, it’s easy to eat fast. We all eat too much fast food and convenience foods. These fast foods and prepared foods may seem like an easy fix, but they can make your body have energy highs and energy crashes. If your energy crashes in the afternoon, that can be a long day.
Use the planner in workbook today to help you plan healthy meals for yourself and your family.
Today’ Challenge
Review your eating habits. Plan your meals to be healthier meals that will give you energy all day. Then, choose some exercises you can do (include your family). Add these exercises to your daily routine.
Your turn…
What exercises will be start including in your day? What is the best time for you to include exercise? Can you improve your diet by eating healthier foods?

Sounds good, I agree when someone tells you 30 mins a day or whatever it sounds not so do-able. But 10 to 20 mins a day, I could do that. We could always up the time as and if we get into it. I’m starting with walking, maybe upping to jogging?
