How to Disciple Your Children Daily
In my experience, parenting is not a part-time job. It’s a 24/7/365 job that requirements constant attention and adjustment to how we handle our children and situations. In Total Family Makeover, Melissa Spoelstra gives us 8 areas of family life that we can change and improve to give our family a total family makeover that will grow and disciple our children daily.

Total Family Makeover completely focuses on how as parents we can make disciples of our children. Melissa Spoelstra provides practical advice and ideas in each chapter that will help you disciple your children.
She opens the book by reminding us that our children are not a report card of us. Our job is to teach them God’s Word and the habits we want to grow into, but it’s not our responsibility to make the seed grow, from the introduction she writes, “Whether our children embrace Christ or any of these disciplines isn’t up to us. So, instead of worrying how they respond, we can shift our focus to our own spiritual habits and seek to be intentional and consistent in both our modeling and authentic relationship with God by training our children in His ways. With prayer and persistence, we can be confident that God will honor our efforts and begin to transform our lives, our families, and our homes” (pg. xv).
It’s a powerful reminder to parents we are to plant the seeds, and God will grow them in our children. We aren’t able to make these truths grow in our children alone.
