Christmas has many traditions some are unique to your family, and some may be unique to your country or region of the country you live in. Some of my favorite Christmas traditions have been passed down through the years. Our unique Christmas traditions make Christmas special and memorable. Some of my favorite Christmas memories are from our family traditions. I live in Florida, so our family Christmas traditions are Southern Christmas traditions.
Have you ever stopped to think that Christmas traditions started with the first Christmas? Singing Christmas carols began when the angels sang a joyful song to the shepherds telling them of the birth of Jesus. Today, we sing Christmas carols celebrating the birth of Jesus so long ago.
The tradition of sharing gifts on Christmas came from the wise men who brought baby Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Today, we share gifts with each other when we celebrate Christmas.
