For many of us, Christmas is always our favorite time of year.  We enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations, soft Christmas carols, and sparkling lights.  It’s the time of the year we celebrate the birth of Jesus.  The Most Wonderful Time of the Year: A Countdown to Christmas is a devotional that will add to the meaning of Christmas for your family this year and every year as you complete the daily readings and activities together.

I enjoyed reading The Most Wonderful Time of the Year because it shared some of the history of my favorite Christmas carols and traditions and every reading includes a craft or recipe you can do together as a family.  You could share the joy of Christmas with others by baking some of the delightful recipes included with each reading or making a memorable handmade gift.

Your children will also enjoy these activities.  These recipes are simple to make.  The handmade gifts could also be done by children (ages 5 and up) with parental supervision.  Families baking and making gifts together is a wonderful part of Christmas.
