A coffee cake has always been one of my favorite cake recipes. I love the sweet crunchy brown sugar topping on crumb cakes. This Caramel Apple Coffee Cake recipe is a deliciously sweet crumb cake and is perfect to enjoy with your favorite coffee or tea or while you sit and read a good book or enjoy a sunset.
Coffee cakes have always been a favorite in my home. I remember growing up, my grandmother, my aunt, and my mom would make a pot of coffee and enjoy a slice of cake on Sunday afternoon. It seemed like if you were sitting at the kitchen table chatting with friends and family, it was time to get out the coffee cake and coffee.
Now, today, when my sisters and I go to our mom’s house (frequently on Sunday afternoon’s), we continue the coffee talk tradition as we have a slice of cake and a cup of coffee as we sit and chat.
This Caramel Apple Coffee Cake is simple to make. If you like apples, cinnamon, and caramel, you will definitely want to give this cake a try. The sweet and crunchy topping from the brown sugar makes will make this a favorite crumb cake recipe, too.
