Homemade Bath Bombs Recipe

Basic Ingredients:

3/4 cup baking soda

1/3 cup cornstarch

1/3 cup of  Epsom salt

1/3 cup of citric acid

3-4 teaspoons of sweet almond oil (or olive oil if you have that available)

1-2 teaspoons of water

Favorite essential oil for fragrance

Food coloring

Molds (you can use silicone molds in shapes like stars, triangles and more, Easter eggs, or purchase molds)

Directions:

Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.

Then gradually start mixing in the wet ingredients. Start with the oil and then add the water. Add only enough water until the mixture holds together (or is a sticky ball).

Add 5-10 drops of your favorite essential oil for fragrance or divide the mixture and add a different essential oil to the second portion. Mix thoroughly.

If you would like colored bath bombs, add a few drops of food coloring now and mix until you have the desired color.

Use a teaspoon to add the mixture into your molds. Press firmly, but not too hard.  Allow 3-4 hours to set, and then you can remove from the mold. Place on a dry surface to dry for an additional 24 hours.

When you take your next bath, just drop one into your bath and enjoy!
